6.7.4 System Management


Password


User could only look over and modify the advanced parameters until the password is approved.


Password can be modified if needed. String length of password is up to 15 characters.


Save Parameter


It will show a file dialog after applying this function. User could save the parameter in XML format to the designated file path.


Load Parameter


It will show a file dialog after applying this function. User could select a XML file to open. If the content of the file is checked, M83 will load it to the system parameters. System needs to restart after loading these parameters.


If necessary, user can use a PC and edit the XML file. In order to ensure the correctness and rationality of the edited parameters, content of the file would be inspected while loading.


If there is any improper parameters, an error message will pop up on the right side, as shown below.

This parameter has redundant/missing items or typo in item name.

This parameter contains non-numeric character.

This parameter is out of the setting range.


When the parameters have something wrong, an @x sign could tell which item of this parameter has the mistake. For example: "Coordinate-Offset @8 #2" states that the eighth item in coordinate offset has an error of existing non-numeric character.


Save Para Txt File


System would check if there is an USB disk and open a file dialog after select this function. All setting parameters would be stored as a text file in the USB disk with a designated filename.


Reset SystemTimer


System timer would be reset once this function is applied. The timer includes power up time, accumulated power up time, run time, accumulated run time. And these info are shown at "INFO→About System".


Update System


Execute it for system update.


Plug an USB disk with the update file, which is named M83XXXX.UPD, in M83. Start this function and the system will load the file. Restart M83 after the update is done.
