6.7.3 Spindle


H/L Gear Spindle


Turn this on if the spindle is able to shift high/low gears. The status of gearing should connect to digital input point 3 on ESPU. 1 as high gear, 0 as low gear.


Low Gear InvDir


Check this if output directions of transmission mechanic are inverses in low gear and high gear.


Low Gear MaxSpeed


Maximum Speed in low gear, unit is rpm.


Max Spindle Speed


Maximum Speed of spindle, unit is rpm.


Encoder (L/R)


Resolution of spindle encoder.


Encoder GearNum/Encoder GearDen


If there is a reducer between motor and the spindle, set the numerator and denominator of the reduction ratio.


RigidTap Accel


The acceleration of spindle during rigid tapping process.


RigidTap Max Speed


The Rigid tapping is no function as the default value is 0. When the machine is provided with the required factors of rigid tapping, set this to an appropriate value according to the mechanical performance. It needs a M code to initiate rigid tapping and a S code to determine the speed of spindle when using it. And the S code value would be limited by this setting.


RigidTap Scale


The ratio of voltage command to the spindle speed when doing rigid tapping, unit is rpm/volt.


RigidTap PosLoopGain


Set the Position Loop Gain of spindle control while doing rigid tapping.


Spindle Delay Time


If the speed arrived signal does not link to ESPU, system would pause for this delay time and then continue executing following program to avoid cutting while the spindle speed is still low. Set this value to 0 if it has the input of speed arrived signal. The unit is 0.1 sec.
