6.2 Tool Table

It is used to set tool length compensation, tool radius compensation, wear of tool length, and wear of tool diameter, unit: mm or inch.

There is 10 groups of tool parameters in tool table.

Length compensation

Tool length compensation is the comparison value between reference tool length and current tool length. It can be a positive or negative value. Please refer to 3.5 Set Tool Length Compensation to build up the tool length table.

Radius compensation

The tool radius compensation can only be a positive value. The left or right compensation is determined by G41/G42.

Tool length wear

The tool length wear will occur when the tool is used for a long time. Setting this value in order to avoid re-measuring the length compensation value. Actual tool length compensation is length compensation + tool length wear.

Tool diameter wear

The tool diameter wear will occur when the tool is used for a long time. Setting this value in order to avoid re-measuring the tool diameter compensation value.

Reference Height

Set the reference position for tool length measurement. This value could also be taught-in in manual page.
