9.18 Matrix Drilling

Matrix drilling means drilling holes in an matrix.

Geometry

X OriginX

The distance from the origin of workpiece to the first point of the matrix in X direction.

Y OriginY

The distance from the origin of workpiece to the first point of the matrix in Y direction.

Z StartZ

The distance from the origin of workpiece to the upper surface of removed area in Z direction.

D Depth

Depth of removal.

I DeltaX

The distance between two neighboring holes in X direction.

J DeltaY

The distance between two neighboring holes in Y direction.

MCountX

Count of holes in X direction.

N CountY

Count of holes in Y direction.

A Rotate

A counterclockwise rotation around the origin of matrix with designated angle.

Manufacture

ToolNumber

Order of desired tool in tool table.

SpindleRPM

Rotating speed of spindle.

SpindleDir

CW

Spindle rotates in CW.

CCW

Spindle rotates in CCW.

H ZUpper

Z axis would halt at this position which is related to StartZ before and after drilling.

M HoleMode

Simple

Drill to the designated depth directly.

Peck

Lift Z up a fixed distance after every step of drilling until reaching the designated depth.

Retract

Lift Z up to the ZUpper after every step of drilling until reaching the designated depth.

Q StepDepth

Depth per drilling of peck/retract mode.

N PauseSec

Pause for a while when it reached the bottom of a hole. This setting is only valid on simple drilling.

S ZDirFeed

Feedrate of Z moving. (mm/min)
