10.5 Simple SDP Servo Tuning

SDP has Auto-gain tuning mode. SDP drive could estimate the load inertia and bandwidth approximately. Follow the steps below to do the servo tuning after the ABS system is function.

1.	Make sure all axial absolute position is ready.
2.	Make sure the speed or acceleration setting in "Setting→Advanced→X Axis→Motion & Speed" meet the designed property of this machine.
3.	Turn off "Setting→Advanced→X Axis→Operate".
4.	Set PA02 of X axial SDP to 0002. It means switch to auto-gain tuning mode. This value could be changed only when servo on is deactivated.
5.	Ensure PA02 is set to 0002, and turn on "Setting→Advanced→X Axis→Operate".
6.	Turn to DRO or Manual page. Select X axis and move it back and forth between positive/negative limit positions by jog at least 10 times. SDP would keep tuning itself during the movement.
7.	Turn off "Setting→Advanced→X Axis→Operate" after the movement is done.
8.	Set PA02 of X axial SDP to 0000 to dismiss auto-gain tuning mode.
9.	Ensure PA02 is set to 0000, and turn on "Setting→Advanced→X Axis→Operate" to finish the simple servo tuning of X axis.
10.	Repeat from step 2 to step 9 to do the servo tuning of Y and Z axis.
